Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the context of Society 5.0 represents a significant shift in educational paradigms in Indonesia. This curriculum, initiated by the Ministry of Education and Culture, emphasizes learner independence and adaptability to technological advancements. As society transitions into an era dominated by digital technologies, the Merdeka Curriculum aims to equip students with essential competencies for the 21st century, such as critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. This article explores the integration of technology in education and the role of educators in fostering an innovative learning environment. By leveraging digital tools and blended learning models, the curriculum addresses the diverse needs of students and prepares them for future challenges. The findings suggest that the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum requires ongoing professional development for educators, as well as active involvement from the community and stakeholders. Ultimately, this educational reform seeks to create a more equitable and dynamic learning experience that aligns with the demands of Society 5.0, ensuring that students are not only consumers of technology but also capable contributors to societal progress.
